Tonight, at the award ceremony at the MotoGP (Australia) the WIMA Australia President, Kathy O’Donnell, was presented with her 10 year award for rider services at the circuit at Philip Island…
Kathy was amongst a small but select group of special people who have spent many volunteer hours at Philip Island, at the MotoGP and International Superbikes.

Hello sisters of the world! WIMA Romania is proud to present what we can count as our first national rally, held for 2 days mid- September, in Sibiu, near the world-famous Transfagarasan and Transalpina.
We had girls coming from all over the country, north and south, from the capital, Bucharest, or locals from Sibiu. From beginners to the more experienced we loved riding together. We split into two groups: those who ride offroad went about their fun in the woods, those of us who love asphalt did a day tour in the beautiful surroundings, visiting old fortresses, villages and trying out our skills a little bit on the Transalpina.
That’s what we can tell you about, for the evening fun… let’s just say you’d have to be there to fully appreciate it!
Wima Romania counts as of now of 47 members but we will continue to grow as our organization becomes more visible. We plan to make more rides next year and to bring together more Romanian female riders in various activities.

Following WIMA Netherlands, we also had an autumn meeting in the Japan Alps.
Riding through autumn leaves and fog; we had a fun time even in the fog.
The first weekend of October WIMA Netherlands had her last ride of this season. And it was awesome. 24 ladies rode to Sauerland in Germany. There were beautiful landscapes, with wonderful curves. Sun was shining on the red and yellow coloured trees. We enjoyed it very much. As our hostel was located in a ski-area, we had to do apres-moto too. Cheers!
Now that our riding season is over, we make plans for next year. And we have time to start organizing the 2021rally. We are so excited that we will host that rally and celebrate our 40th anniversary with you. It gives our entire Dutch division a good vibe already!

You have both contributed a lot to WIMA and women’s motorcycling – and continue to do so. Claudia has served WIMA internationally many years, as treasurer, vice president and president. Zara is our current vice president. Both these women are great advocates for our organisation and WIMA comradeship.
The certificate of honour reads: “WIMA – as the world’s biggest women’s motorcycle club honours with this medal those women who have performed exceptionally well on their motorbikes as well as those who have put themselves out to support the goals of WIMA”.
